Ice Cream With a Friend

I love the endless possibilities with the new "Sprinkles of Life Stamp set.

Those scoops of ice cream can turn instantly into fluffy little clouds, and there are two additional designs in the same shape to make a tree top, either of spring flowers or summer foliage. This set is going to get A LOT of use!

And check out the fun new Boho Chic embossing folder!  Totally fun design.

If you are not good at making banners with paper snips, the Banner Triple Punch is going to be a lifesaver. It makes perfect banners is three different widths, and any length you like.

Tip:  I stamped both the ice cream cone and the vanilla ice cream with Delighful Dijon.  However, the ice cream is stamped off to get a lighter effect.  (Ink up your stamp, then stamp on scrap paper, then directly onto your card stock without re-inking.)

Teacher Gift, by Marina

So cute!  8-year-old Marina was over at my house with her sisters and mom, and when we finished up playing with the Paper Pumpkin kit I had brought out for them, Marina grabbed some Real Red card stock and my scallop border punch, and started making rosebuds.  We trimmed and stuck the ends into the ends of some left over paper straws, cut to a shorter length.  Then, I grabbed my Petite Petal Punch and made calyxes for the buds.  We snipped a little x through each calyx, and slipped the straw through.  A cute little bow, stuck on with a glue dot, finished each flower nicely.

Marina was very pleased with her bouquet, and decided she would put them in a little jar (with some rice or marbles to hold them up,) and present them to her teacher as a year-end gift.

Good job, Marina!

New Colors, New Stamps!

I am really enjoying the new products offered in the 2015-16 catalog.  Here's my Monday Mojo, (#399) using some of the newest papers, stamps, and colors:

I chose to do this in the normal A2 dimensions (5 1/2" by 4 1/4") rather than the "tall & skinny" size.   Supplies list below:
